Ten Final Reasons the Cubs Will Lose to the Reds
10. They stayed up all night watching Golden Girls reruns.
9. Griffey's out, giving them a false sense of security.
8. Milton's in, giving them a false sense of security.
7. If they won today, what would be their motivation going into the Pittsburg series?
6. Adam Dunn hasn't had a home run in two days. He's due for a few.
5. Deep down, they want to lose. Otherwise they'll never get better.
4. They need a time out to kiss Aramis Ramirez' ouchie.
3. Encarnación has had a three-error game before. He's good at bouncing back.
2. Contrary to popular belief, mooses can't pitch.
1. The Cubs have a date with destiny. She asked them to meet her in the cellar.
Too bad EdE will be bouncing back from the bench, if at all today.
6. Adam Dunn hasn’t had a home run in two days. He’s due for a few.
Score one for RHM!
No, score TWO for RHM:
“The Cubs have a date with destiny. She asked them to meet her in the cellar.”
The 3-2 delivery to RHM…swung on, high fly ball, deep center field – Pierre going back…on the track…at the wall…looking up…C-YA!
If Encarnacion keeps on having three errors per game though, yuck. I’m gonna have to call him E5 instead of EE. 🙁
And finally, for evidence that a Moose can, in fact, pitch (better than Jimmy Haynes, anyway), see the following:

I’m not sure it’s really a bad thing that EdE got the day off. It’s nice to see errors not be rewarded.
Of course, that wouldn’t explain why Dunn played in game 2…
Thanks, you guys, for checking in during the game. I’m not sure how able I’ll be to post frequently this weekend, but I hope you’ll hang in there with me. I’ll be up-and-at-em as soon as I sleep it off.
