Casey out
Looks like Sean Casey is out for 6-8 weeks for my Buccos after taking a flying elbow in the back from John Mabry last night on a funky play at first. Thought you Reds fans might like a heads up and a “You told me so.”

I wouldn’t say we told you so – we thought Casey would be safe if we put him on the same team as Cota.
Buc up, Pirates fans! Look at it this way – you had Craig Wilson wasting away on the bench, and you won’t lose a step if he plays everyday for the next couple months. And if you noticed the Cincinnati-St. Louis game today, Dave Williams isn’t exactly doing much to justify the trade from the Reds’ perspective.
It’s true that getting CWilson into the lineup every day is something that needed to happen, but I was hoping for it to happen at the expense of Burnitz as opposed to Casey.
For crying out loud, what did Casey ever do to deserve this karma? As many good deeds as that guy has done, you’d think his guardian angel would intervene now and again.
Casey was having a pretty good start, too, but maybe a bit of a change won’t be a bad thing for the team. I mean, it can’t get much worse, right?
