A Moderate Amount of Rage
ARGH!
Baseball 101 is on Tuesday, and though my credit card has been charged $55 for my entrance, I haven't received a receipt, any idea of where to go, or even a ticket. And good luck finding any contact information on Reds.com. Hell, it took me 10 minutes of poking around to even find the page about Baseball 101.
Furthermore, the Reds can't just score. No, they have to give back every damn run they score. “Love” Shackelford is making me feel a little less enraged.
And am I the only one who is just getting sick of Bronson Arroyo? I know I was the first one on his bandwagon, but I might just be the first one falling off.
Deep breath. Off-day tomorrow, which means off-day fun here at RHM. Finally we'll establish once and for all who is the Reds' number one fan.
Arroyo himself hasn’t been bothering me, but the barrage of Reds fans declaring him our savior is pretty damn irritating.
I want someone to ask him whether he’d rather still be in the Boston bullpen than starting with the Reds. Maybe we can ask his bestest buddy David Ross, since they’re on such a powerful wavelength.
Man, a 2-3 road trip and the claws come out.
Cast your ire at Dave Williams. I’d take Sean Casey with a broken back any day over this hack.
I never thought I would say this, but I will be glad when Milton returns.
The Casey trade was pretty much useless for us. The money it cleared up went to Womack, Hammond, White, Hatteberg, and I suppose payment of Arroyo’s deal, and I’d like to think ownership would be willing to take on Arroyo’s contract and sign a few veterans for less than a million. Pretty much the most useless trade ever.
I don’t think that Casey with a broken back can pitch any better than Williams, but I sure wouldn’t mind having someone stronger in that number 5 position. You have to wonder whether Williams will be the one going down when Milton does come back. If EZ can start getting some support from his team, it would be a no-brainer.
RHM, I have gotten two things in the mail concerning the luncheon. I got a letter telling me that I was on the list, and I also got a package the other day containing my parking pass.
Here’s a # that might help: 513-765-7231 – Charley Frank.
In an insane twist of fate, I somehow got two parking passes – if you want one, perhaps we can meet somewhere outside the stadium, and I’ll give it to you.
The letter says no autographs and that the dress code is “business casual.”
If you call that number and it’s no help, I would still show up, and perhaps bring a copy of the credit card/bank statement to show that you paid… apparently everyone’s name will be on a list, so there is no ticket to get into the luncheon itself.
Best of luck, and I hope to see you there!
Thanks, Skeeter. I’ll see if I can’t get ahold of Mr or Ms Frank and get this all worked out.
If anyone was still wondering, we did get in touch with Mr. Frank and I’ll be making the trip to the Nati tomorrow for Baseball 101 fun. Look for a recap sometime in the foreseeable future.
