The Blog Buzz that Never Was

Man, it's been a long time since I've done a blog buzz, but it's hard to find the inspiration when the team's just been swept for the first time. I was all ready to take solace in trouncing the Pirates, but then tonight's game happened. It's just depressing.

Maybe I can go find a photo to make fun of or something. Hang in there guys: it won't always be this bleak. Or, even if it is, we'll get used to it.

If somebody made a movie about the Reds, who would play what parts?

Let's see if we can come up with most of the team.

Adam Dunn: Will Ferrell
Austin Kearns: Victor Garber (Kearnsy is a dead ringer when his ears are covered.
Ryan Freel: Verne Troyer

Who's got input?

Tiny Casey Kidnapped

This is just horrible. Tiny Casey has been kidnapped.

And I am a suspect! I can't believe it. Sure, I've said I covet the little dude, but I'd never resort to tiny-napping.

Hall of Fame Game

The Hall of Fame Game was called due to rain today in the 3rd inning with the Reds leading the Pirates 3-0.

Quinton McCracken led the offense with a two-run home run, and Jason Larue, showing he can do it without a pink bat, knocked in a run on a double.

Hopefully, this means the team's offense will wake up for tomorrow's game against the Pirates. And if we're lucky, we'll get a resurgent offense AND a lights-out pitching staff going at the same time!

Oh, to dream.
