Arroyo Gotta Represent
The official site says that Bronson Arroyo is the only Red going to the All-Star game. Well, him and Jerry Narron.
In other news, a suprising number of Reds will staff the National League All Star Team of Suck. Almost the entire bullpen will be in attendance. It'll be nice for them to get to see Tony Womack again.
David Weathers is going to the homerun derby. He’s participating, actually.
He got a head start this afternoon. What a dedicated guy.
I’m at the point where I don’t want to go to games unless Arroyo or Harang are pitching simply because I know we’re going to have to depend on the ‘pen for 3+ innings. After sitting (& dying) in 93 degree weather this afternoon only to see Weathers cough it up, yet again… yeah. You all know what I’m saying.
I would have thought that Narron would have had some sort of sway in getting one or two more Reds on the team. Apparently I was wrong.
Ugh. What a day.
The National League All Star Team of Suck? I would have thought that the Cubs had that market solidly locked up.
Apparently the first place team of suck, the Pirates, and close seconds the Braves and Marlins, have better players than us since they have 2, 3, and 2 players representing, respectively.
San Diego got robbed, too, as they are also in first place with one representative. Meanwhile, half of the NL comes from the East. Yes, count them, 15 players.
I hope the Reds sweep the Asstros for the rest of the year. I didn’t think I could hate them anymore than I did, but now I do.
Cincinnati owns the National League All Star Team of Don’t Get No Respect.
