Edwin Encarnación 3B

Doumit RF
Bautista 3B
Paulini C
Gorzelanny P
Conine is the man, man. I don’t love him like I loved Aurilia, but I’ve got to recognize.
Yes, Conine doubled and they walked Dunn on purpose.
And he’s in on a single by EdE. 6-1. Rockin’.
Doubled again, I should say.
You smoke cigars? o_O
Conine’s veteran-osity comes through.
Woo-hoo! Go reds! Keep tacking on those insurance runs. Might need ’em once Captain Hook starts his show.
Ross hits into a double play to end the inning. That’s right: only a DOUBLE play. Yippee!
Good thing there was already one out or that could have been another triple play Ross would have just hit into.
And in Houston it’s now 10-1, Astros.
So does that mean Special D is out of his slump? I mean, a double play is better than a triple play.
Heh…wow, RHM, judging from our last two comments, I guess great minds really do think alike.
Belisle is through eight innings on 83 pitches.
:ha: And bayliss is off to a flying start, walking the opposing pitcher.
Occasionally, but I can’t take the way I smell afterward. It’s a whole-evening affair: smoke cigar, brush teeth, put clothes in washer, shower, brush teeth again, etc. The first time I smoked a cigar I was waking up in the middle of the night to use mouthwash!
Still, I enjoy it for some reason. Jonny got me a collection of them for my birthday last year. Among my life goals is to smoke a Cuban. That and 1) singing the national anthem at a major sporting event and 2) doing something worthy of having a banquet thrown in my honor.
Stupid goals perhaps, but something to work toward.
Do all catchers look that goofy in the chest protector thingy? That just looks silly.
Walk, HBP, single – hey, when did we trade Coffey to the Pirates?
Woo-hoo! Pad those stats, baby!!
Reds up 8-1.
Save some of those runs for the coming week, please!
I’d like to take this opportunity to say how much I appreciate the consistent television coverage of the Reds this season. Years past I’d come home to find that the game just wasn’t on and instead FSNO was airing The Sports List or something, but I’m happy to say that hardly ever happens now. The only games that aren’t televised seem to be the weekday afternoon ones, which I couldn’t watch very easily anyway.
It’s the bottom of the ninth. Will Belise get the complete game?
Who loves the Pirates’ parrot? I think he may even be better than the Gapper.
All right! Nicely done, young fella!
Yeah, but we have Mr. Redlegs and Rosie, too. 😎
And this one belongs to the Reds!
Great job, Belisle! Now go out and win the series tomorrow.
Cool beans, RHM, you’ll actually get to enjoy writing the game wrap this time.
Well, yesterday was a pretty miserable day for me, baseball-wise. Today, a surfeit of riches. The Yanks beat the Sox, despite losing their starting pitcher after one batter. The Bats won both games of their doubleheader. And the Reds won, too. Not only that, no bullpen problems, ’cause Belisle went the distance! Thank you, thank you. That’s almost better than the win.
