It’s A Rerun

When I left to put the kid to bed tonight, the CTS was watching the game in the living room. After reading a bedtime story, I found him working on the computer in our bedroom with the t.v. off.

“Can't bear to watch, huh?” I asked.
“Nah,” he shrugged. “I've just seen this one before.”

Yeah.

Today Red-Hot-Mama.com was hit on a search for “Reds manager to be fired,” and my search hits are often prescient. I was getting hits on “Adam Dunn father” for months before that news came out.

Knowing the reds the would simply name Bucky Dent the new manager, which would also be a rerun as to replacement method. I wouold prefer a radical move like Chris Sabo or someone like that who brings us memories of better years in the past. If Ozzie Guillen can win a world series I have to believe Chris Sabo can too.

Better yet. To punish the Nationals for their willful withholding of information in The Trade, Narron should be forced to be their manager. 😛

The pythagorean win/loss has us at 22-25 which would mean we are in the thick of things statistically. This team is being badly mismanaged and mishandled. Narron’s instincts for handling the bullpen are atrocious. I admit I thought Stanton would be a shot in the arm when I first saw him, but how long do you stick with a guy when he clearly doesn’t have it? If your Jerry Narron the answer is continuously until the GM removes him from the roster. Narron has no idea who has the hot hand. All he knows is Weathers in the 9th and sometimes in the 8th and 9th. Does he know not to pitch Weathers in a tie game? Probably not even though Weathers always blows that particular situation. He let’s Coutlangus pitch to Lopez who is much stronger facing left handed pitching rather than flip him over by bringing in a right hander where is average is a mager .216. narron is clueless and hopeless. Can his ass now, please! He was a nice change from Miley but it has worn off and now we need a real manager or at least someone we can all root for like Chris Sabo. Otherwise this season is a pathetic wash and the Reds are looking at a major crisis as far as attendance is concerned.

Jesus, I am very distressed to see everybody on the official message board and elsewhere clamoring for the return of Majewski just because hehas posted some scoreless innings in Louisville. Majewski is NOT the answer, and in fact is a almost sure bet to implode under the pressure of trying to capture the 8th inning slot. The guy showed his makeup last season and it wasn’t pretty. First he never let on about arm trouble until we were stuck with him and he had blown several games… then he supposedly rehabbed and felt 100% and blew a bunch more games. Anyone thinking this guy is going to magically transform into a good late inning reliever has got to be on the happy gas. As long as Narron is managing the bullpen we are dead. He’ll give Majewski every opportunity to flame out like last year and force me to make more obnoxious statements about him.. believe me I don’t like to do it. I don’t want to hate our players, but when they make millions of dollars and continuously say stupid things to the media and play like retards I have no choice but to voice my angst at the injustice of this universe. I have a degree in psychology. I know a bunch of computer languages. I am a busioness entrepreneur… but I can’t afford dental care because the system does not reward intelligence. Buffoons like LaRue loot us for millions of dollars under the guise they provide something of meaningful significance to our society when in fact they are spoiled egotistical bums who like to hunt and fish on private land where us peasants would be shot on site if we tried to gain entry.

And Voila! PResto! Majewski gets the call. Coffee gets sent down 3 weeks too late. Watch Narron throw Majewski straight into the fire… maybe even tonight.

I’m going to think positive. Maybe Majewski will be the 8th inning Majic we need.

So Majewski beamed his first batter. I will take that as an ominous sign. Yes he retired the next two guys and hit 94mph on the stadium radar. But with Narron pulling the strings I must insist this can only end badly. We just lost 2 games in a row to what had been the worst team in baseball. Now we own that dubious distinction. Pathetic. And the big shake up is they bring up Majewski to replace Coffey — who absolutely should have been sent down several weeks ago. They let Lohse pitch with the flu when Livingston should have been on this roster all year long. Horrible management. Let’s see if Castellini has the cahones to axe Narron and/or Krivsky. Its got to be done sooner rather than later for the sake of next year.
