Moving Day
Today is finally the day. I'm sitting by the phone, waiting for the call to say that we can start taking our stuff to our new house. It's been a nerve-fraying wait, and I'm looking forward to being a more patient, funny, and prolific Red Hot Mama when the boxes are unpacked.
In the meantime, you probably already know about the Reds' latest news: that the Reds optioned Todd Coffey to AAA Louisville yesterday to make room for Gary Majewski. Useful!
Best of luck with the move.
A couple of other wheeling and dealing notes….
The Gay Porn Star was DFA’d. He cleared waivers and will presumably continue playing for the Lookouts. He wasn’t on the active roster, so the only reason to DFA him was to get him off the 40-man roster. Which means they must have plans for that spot. Livingston? Bailey? Votto? Someone else?
Also, the Bats are expecting Josh Hamilton to join them on a rehab assignment for awhile.
I must say, that sounds a bit strange to me. Gastroenteritis usually isn’t worth a trip to the DL. And then a rehab assignment, too? I’d expect them to do something like this if he was stinking up the joint, but he’s been playing pretty well. Why DL him and send him to Louisville?
Good luck on your move, folks… hang in there.
Josh looked pretty healthy last night at the game when he signed hundreds of autographs. He signed for over a half hour! Perhaps his hand will need some rehab work in AAA.
I missed Griffey’s homerun while in the nacho line. The rest of the game was insane. Weathers had the bases loaded in the 10th with no outs and they had nobody up in the bullpen warming up! On top of that, it was his second inning of pitching! Narron has got to go. He wasn’t even trying to win or stop the runs.
The highlight was the guys running on the field during the fireworks and getting pummeled by the police. It drew some excitement from the fans!
I’ve heard Hamilton signs autographs for an hour every day.
He says it’s his way of giving back to the fans.
Good luck with the move RHM, hope everything goes well.
Believe you me you haven’t missed out on anything as far as the Reds are concerned…(ugh)
