I Don’t Like Ike
Residual winds from hurricane Ike knocked out our power for three hours this afternoon. According to the automated response we got when calling the power company, some 150,000 of their customers were without power, and they expected it to take 3-4 days for it to come back. So, frankly, I’m feeling pretty fortunate to be posting this right now.
Listening to the Reds’ game on 700 WLW (the lack of any other electronics working in our house allowed us to actually get the station without interference), they said that over 600,000 people are in the dark in the Cincinnati-land area.
Meanwhile, the Reds outlasted the Diamondbacks tonight to win the game and the series. The t.v. came back on just in time to see Patterson’s home run.
