Reds Caravan 2012 – West Leg Pix
Yesterday we got up early to stand in line for some Reds autographs. It was a pretty weak line-up, but Nick Masset isn’t bad to look at and maybe that Billy Hamilton will be the biggest name of all in a few years. Plus, it’s always a treat to hang out with Rosie.
Now I don’t feel so bad. I called the Reds out on their lineup of players for this years Reds Caravan on the Better Off Reds blog page. I was immediately ripped by Jamey Ramsey, the sites’ blogger. I thought it was a weak lineup also. I am comforted by the fact that you thought so. Where were the real players? The caravan is a great winter tradition. I just wish the popular players thought as much about their fans as we appreciate them.
I wouldn’t take anything Jamie says too personally: he’s less “tell it like it is fan blogger” and more “team mouthpiece with a dash of Rob-Butcher-approved zaniness.”
He would, of course, take personally me saying so, which is the irony of the whole thing.
Fact is, there wasn’t even a major leaguer announced on the west leg until the last minute, and then they send a pitcher? A reliever?? Humbug.
