Reds visit Astros
Reds visit the Astros tonight. They didn't do so hot the last time they met up with Houston, but they're going to do better tonight. I can just tell. Plus, Griffey must be feeling better, so that's good.

Phillips is aboard.
And steals second. Love it!
Before Gonzalez pops out to right field. (I know it’s the outfield, but Minute Maid always feels like a miniature park to me.)
Dang. Arroyo breezed through the bottom of the first before I could type and post my comment. More of that, please!
Ross has 21 Ks to 3 BBs. Stop swinging so much, sweetie.
Hamilton is hit by a pitch to load the bases with 2 outs. I would’ve preferred a wild pitch.
Yippee! Despite the Reds best efforts, they score two runs!
Go Griffey!
If he falls over from stomach pain before making it to home, does it still count as a run? Can they pinch run for a guy mid-home-run trot?
Gonzo!!
Reds up 4-0. I really appreciate this early lead.
Dunner legs out a single to the first baseman. That’s freakin’ awesome.
And he steals second. He’s my hero.
Reds up 6-0 and the Stros finally see fit to replace the pitcher. Screw you, Madrid Syndrome!
I want double digits. you can never have enough runs with this bullpen
Double digits would be nice, especially since the Stros are showing some signs of offensive life in the 4th against Arroyo.
Luke Scott is a pain in the ass. And he has two first names.
I bet he has THREE first names.
Go Dunner! The Reds now lead it 10-1. Just one more to get a double-digit lead.
Yup. Three first names.
🙂
I step away for a few minutes to wash some dishes and clean the kitchen only to return to see that the Reds have almost reached the double-digit lead. I hope they can make it.
Greedy jerk. Leave some first names for the rest of us, pal!
Bases are loaded and the second batter of the inning, EdE, is hit to bring in a run. Is the pitcher frustrated, or are their super-mop-up types just that bad?
I don’t know, but it gave the Reds their first double-digit lead of the night!
And now the bullpen’s on to try to blow it.
If the bullpen can give up this lead, it would be epic. But it *would* keep Arroyo from getting the win, which would keep the poll that the CTS just added tonight looking fresh.
Girlfriend’s got to get some sleep; I’ve got to get up early in the morning.
Thanks to everyone who dropped by. Cross your fingers that our boys can keep from giving up 10 runs before they get four more outs.
If all it takes is a poll that’s valid for only one evening to get the Reds a win, I think I can deal with that.
Rest well. Just three outs to go now.
And 1 . . . 2 . . . yessiree 3!
This one belongs to the Reds!
wohoo !!
