Looks pretty close to what the Reds are going to be running out there on a semi-regular basis this season. C. Trent also says that the Reds who have been hurtin'--Ryan Freel, Bubba Crosby, Elizardo Ramirez, Bill Bray, and maybe Gary Majewski--ought to be available by Wednesday.
It's my brother-in-law's birthday party today, so I'll miss at least part of the game in favor of cake and ice cream, but if anyone's feeling like commenting on the game here, I'd love to read what you have to say.
Francoeur with a 2 run HR.
AGON draws the leadoff walk.
AGON thrown out stealing. I am not sure why he is leading off, and I am def. not sure why he is trying to steal.
Now a basehit by Phillips off the shortstops glove.
Base hit Dunn. Phillips makes it in to 3B.
Edwin grounds out. 2-0 Braves lead after 1.
Harang surrendered a solo homerun. 3-0 Braves.
Braves scored one more in the top of the 4th but stranded the bases full… so its 4-0 Braves.
Ross hits one off the wall, and Francoer nails him at 2B. What an arm!
Just got out of work.
Another hit for A-Gon. Brilliant, batting him leadoff. 😉
Only 2 of the runs were earned for Harang, because Phillips committed an error before Francoeur’s home run in the 1st inning.
Gonzalez singled on a ball thru the middle, and then scores on a double by Hatteberg. 4-1.
Working on a sunday after St. Patrick’s Day? Obviously yo are not Irish.
So Harang’s day is done after a LONG 5 innings. New pitcher is Brian Shackelford.
Valentin playing 1B catches a line drive.
Soft liner to AGON. 2 quick outs.

Big project is supposed to go out on Thursday. That should be the end of overtime for me.
Unfortunately, deadline day is the day the Yanks come to Sarasota. I was hoping to take that day off, but it’s not looking good at this point.
Phillips makes a diving stab but it goes off his glove, so the batter wound up on 2B. An infield double by Tony Pena. He comes into score on a base hit by PH Schaeffer.
5-1 lead heading into the bottom of the 6th.
Meanwhile, the Yanks are beating the Pirates like a red-headed stepchild. Seven runs scored in the inning so far, including a grand slam by Giambi.
Ross with an RBI double cuts the lead to 5-2.
Valentin with a hit to LF, bringing up Dunn who now represents the tying run.
5-3 score on a fielders choice.
Braves got one back in the top of the 8th, Denorfia strikes out with 2 runners on in the bottom of the frame. heading to the 9th, Redlegs down by 3 runs.

Valentin is retired. Bunt single by Hopper keeps hope alive.
Full count to Gil. Ball 4. Tying run comes to the plate.
Its Anderson Machado. First pitch swinging on a ball that was very high. Takes the next pitch, its a 1-1 count.
2-1 count. Ball 3, high and away. 3-1 count. Take ball 4… BASES LOADED for Paul Janish!
Takes on a high pitch but its called a strike, and Thom Brennaman does not like the borderline call. Next pitch down the pipe. 0-2 count.
This team never quits. You have to give them that.
Check swing, they appeal, he did not go around. 1-2 count. High and away fastball, now its a 2-2 count.
Bloop single! 1 run scores, bases still loaded. 6-4 only 1 out.
Moeller groundball eats up the second baseman, safe all around! 6-5 game, bases still loaded with 1 out.
Bellhorn pops out, 2 outs.
Here comes Jorgensen to PH… down to the final out, tying run on 3rd.
Quickly 0-2. Fouled away. HIGH 1-2 count.
Strike 3 swinging on a high fastball. Reds lose 6-5.
Dammit.
Well, they made it interesting, anyway.
Drat! Looks like I’m moments too late.
6-5, huh? I heard 0-4 at one point on the radio, so I’m glad to see that they didn’t give up without a fight.
We ran ourselves out of a couple runs and innings, we made a couple of errors… a winnable game, but hey its spring training so what can you do? The team def. shows a lot of heart though and that’s good.
